Clean up events
Some Network members hold clean up events that attract many enthusiastic
volunteers. The Back County
Land Trust's "I Love a Clean Alpine" event attracts 25 people each
year and the 2-3 other clean up days throughout the year draw 10 people
each. 2004 will be the fifth year that Network Member Preserve
Calvera sponsors an annual Earthday Clean-up event; in 2003 there
were over 60 participants and over 2 tons of trash was removed from
the preserve.
